The Three Trees. The trio of trees represents the heart of PFL: a collaboration between Portland Youth Soccer Association, our local high schools, and Portland Parks & Recreation. Three distinct trees, one united canopy—each partner strengthening the others to grow a thriving soccer community for Portland’s youth.
The Lines Beneath. Beneath the surface of every player is untapped potential—skills, confidence, and character waiting to emerge. The lines symbolize that hidden foundation, as well as the grassroots nature of our program. Our mission is to help young athletes unearth what’s already within them, guiding their growth season by season.
The Star. The star reflects the journey we witness every year: players discovering their strengths, building confidence, and becoming leaders on the field. It stands for excellence, aspiration, and the belief that every child can shine. In the PFL, every player is a rising star.
The Font. We chose the Adventurer font because it mirrors who we are—simple, authentic, and unapologetically about the kids (it's kid-like). It’s distinctive without being corporate, fun without being frivolous. It captures the spirit of a league built on joy, community, and genuine youth development.
Fiber composition
Solid colors are 100% cotton, heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% polyester, black and athletic heather is 90% cotton, 10% polyester.
With side seams
Located along the sides, they help hold the garment's shape longer and give it structural support
Ribbed knit collar with seam
The ribbed knit makes the collar highly elastic and helps retain its shape
Shoulder tape
Twill tape covers the shoulder seams to stabilize the back of the garment and prevent stretching
DTF inner neck labels
The inner neck labels are printed using the Direct-to-Film (DTF) print method, while the rest of the prints are done with the Direct-to-Garment (DTG) method.
Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F); Non-chlorine: bleach as needed; Tumble dry: low heat; Iron, steam or dry: medium heat; Do not dry clean.
